Benefits for Pre-registering a Tier 4 Subscription

If you pre-register for a Tier 4 Academic Year subscription, you are eligible, upon request, to upgrade the data port in your room to be gigabit capable. You may make a request by contacting the ITS Help Desk.

Be sure to include the following information:

• Name and UT EID
• Your Room Number
• Your Data Port Number  (To find your data port number, refer to 'What's my port number?')

After submitting a request, please allow up to five business days for the change to be completed. The requested data port will be guaranteed gigabit capable for the term of the subscription. If you change your data port (ie change rooms), be sure to submit a new request.
