Changing Rooms or Ports

Changing ports is required whenever you change rooms in a Residence Hall or change Residence Halls. If you only use Resnet Wireless, you are still required to change the port associated with your Resnet Subscription to the port in the new room.

To change your Resnet port:

1. Log on to the Resnet Account Management Tool (UT EID required).
2. In the Service Options section, choose the Wired option.
3. Enter your new port number in the New Resnet Port Number option.
4. Click the Save Changes button.
